Vi har på nyårsafton gjort klart med en runningback vid namn Jakub Březina. Jakub är en kvick och svårfångad spelare som kommer att passa bra in i Örebro Black Knights 2025. Jakub har även spelat en hel del slotreceiver och har bra händer vilket gör honom till en spelare som kan användas på många sätt. Jakub har spelat i det Tjeckiska landslaget sedan 2022 och vann 2024 AFL (Austrian Football League) med Prague Black Panthers. Då Prag spelar i Österrikiska AFL har Jakub vecka efter vecka fått möta bra motstånd och haft stora framgångar. Jakub kommer från Ostrava där han spelade 2015-2023 med Ostrava Steelers.

Jakub provides instand uprade to our team. His style of running, understanding of blocking schems and ability to read blocks was something we have been looking for this offseason.
During the recruitment process we also got to know Jakub as a person, and we are very happy with how he will fit into our team!

Since I was 4 years old, I played hockey, which became a huge part of my life growing up. Unfortunately, I had to step away from hockey and look for a new passion. That’s when I came across American football. With little to no knowledge about the sport, I decided to attend a recruiting practice in 2015—and I’ve never looked back. In Ostrava, I started in the junior program and soon became part of the adult team. During my time there, I had the privilege of playing in three Czech Championship games, gaining valuable experience and building my love for the game.

Last year, I decided to pursue my football dreams further and moved to Prague to play for the best Czech football team, the Prague Black Panthers. With PBP, we achieved a major milestone, winning the AFL Championship against the Vienna Vikings.

Since 2022, I’ve also been honored to represent my country as a member of the Czech National Team, competing at the international level and continuing to develop as a player.

Joining the Örebro Black Knights represents an exciting new chapter in my football career. I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success both on and off the field by bringing energy, dedication, and a relentless commitment to improvement. This opportunity offers the chance to grow as a player, compete at a high level, and learn from the coaching staff and my teammates. I’m also looking forward to being part of a team culture that shares passion for achieving excellence together.
