Big epmhasis for our team this year is providing opportunity for our players to learn football, improve as athletes and become leaders in their own way. Having QB coach is a big piece in achieving that goal, one we were missing for some time now. Having Will Alexander taking over that role is not just bringing anyone to do it. We spent a lot of time getting to know each other, talking football, but also making sure this is the right fit for both Black Knights and Will. He brings a ton of epxerience to our team on the most important position in sports, and will be instrumental part in building our offence and helping our players. We are very excited to work with Will!
Branko Mutic HC
I have played tackle football since I was 6 years old. I started 2 years in high school at QB and then committed to D1-FCS Elon University in North Carolina. I played for 4 years there but did not see meaningful action and graduated with bachelors degrees in political science and economics. After that, I grad transferred to Clarion University, a D2 school in Pennsylvania, to use the last 2 years of my eligibility. During my time there I was 75-145 for 959 yards and 4 TDs, as well as 44 carries for 155 yards and 5 rushing TDs.
Will Alexander about his career as a player
After receiving my MBA from Clarion in December of 2023, I then went to Spain and played in their top division in the 2024 season. I played 6 games before getting injured, and was 69-134 for 849 yards and 4 TDs along with 61 carries for 202 yards and 5 rushing TDs. My official background as a coach is not nearly as extensive, as I have limited experience.
Wills background as a coach
Aside from coaching youth teams, my only other experience was in Spain, where along with playing I helped our coaches develop our offensive game plans and scheme as well as throughout practices assisting WRs and other players with technique and the like. However, I had the privilege of playing for some great coaches, such as my OCs at Elon and Clarion, who I give a lot of credit to for the development of both my knowledge and passion for the game of football. My view of football and part of the reason why I love the game is that it is the ultimate team sport. In any given play, 10 players must give their maximum effort and execute their job so that 1 player may make the play and the team may be successful, and that happens on every play throughout the game. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to come to a such a prestigious program as the Black Knights to begin my coaching career, and I will do anything and everything I can to help the team succeed.
