LB Coach 2025

Brankos coaching stab har nu utökats med en LB coach i form Josh Murhpy som spelat många år i ÖBK efter sin highschool- och collegkarriär i USA.

I met Josh on the football field playing against him. Not a pleasent experience! We had to use the opportunity to bring him to the team, as he will bring a lot of experience, passion and toughness to our linebacker group, and our defence.

I started playing football at the age of 5 and carried that passion through high school until a torn Achilles after my senior season shifted my plans for college football. After a year of recovery at Eastern Washington University, I transferred to Feather River College, a JUCO in Northern California, where I reignited my football journey. Despite a promising first season and D2 offers, financial challenges cut my time short, and I ultimately completed my education at Washington State University. My playing career continued in Europe, where I spent seven seasons, six of them with the Black Knights and one with the Allgäu Comets in the GFL. During that time, I played outside linebacker, which became my defining position. Those experiences shaped my understanding of the game, both on and off the field.

Background as a coach: I’m stepping into coaching with the same passion that I had as a player. While I don’t have prior coaching experience, my focus is on passing along the technical knowledge and insights I’ve gained over my playing career. I want to help players develop their skills, improve their game intelligence, and grow as disciplined athletes. Most importantly, I aim to foster a team-first mentality and a love for the game.

View on football: Football is a game that builds character, teaches resilience, and creates bonds that last a lifetime. As a coach, my goal is to pass on the knowledge and experiences that made me the player I was, helping others find their own path to success.
